CPC AseptiQuik® STC – Steam-Thru with sterile coupling pieces
The AseptiQuik sterile connector and the Steam-Thru® II SIP connector are integrated into the CPC AseptiQuik® STC-connectors. This gives pharmaceutical companies even more flexibility for their hybrid (stainless steel combined with single-use technology) or single-use process systems.
The AseptiQuik STC-connector combines an AseptiQuik G or AseptiQuik C sterile connector with a Steam-Thru II-connection that can be mounted directly on a stainless steel vessel using a sanitary seal.
AseptiQuik STC connectors with an AseptiQuik G-sterile connector have a genderless design, thus simplifying the system integration to an aseptic connector. AseptiQuik STC connectors that use an AseptiQuik C sterile connector enable system designers to include a closed female-to-male connection at the aseptic connector tip.
By connecting the two connectors to a single unit using a sanitary clamp, an AseptiQuik sterile connection using SIP can be steam-sterilised on stainless equipment. After the SIP cycle, a wide range of systems for once-off use can be connected. The SIP process can be implemented in advance so that a fast and easy sterile connection with the AseptiQuik half is possible without having to wait for 30-60 minutes with SIP prior to the cell harvesting.
