Filtration is an important technique in the (bio) pharmaceutical industry and is used in many places in the production process in combination with single-use technology.
Filtration applications within the farm action, biotech and other life science branches include (sterile) filtration of APIs, buffers and media, clarification of harvest, pre- and sterile filtration prior to the chromatography process, concentration / diafiltration and sterile final filtration. Filters are also used for water treatment, aeration filters on tanks or bioreactors and for the filtration of gases.
